It is no secret that divorce can be challenging but it does not necessarily have to be as bad as it may initially seem. In Florida, divorcing couples are required to first utilize the mediation process. Significant benefits can be gained through trained use of the mediation process. A significant number, if not all, of the divorce-related issues couples face during their divorce can be resolved through the divorce mediation process when it is approached properly.
Divorce mediation can be cost efficient and require less time. As an added benefit, divorce mediation allows divorcing couples to maintain greater control over the outcome of their divorce and their divorce settlement. Issues that can be addressed through the divorce mediation process include property division, paternity, child support, child custody and visitation and time sharing, as well as some other divorce-related concerns.
At times, it is necessary to go to court to resolve divorce-related issues and reach a divorce settlement agreement. In those circumstances, divorce-related issues are best approached with the appropriate knowledge and guidance which can lend itself to a more smooth process and agreeable outcome. Divorcing couples are always encouraged to reach agreements whenever possible. In many circumstances, the parties will be required to work together in the future so the family law process provides options and alternatives to help them resolve their divorce concerns as amicably as possible.
The end of a marriage can be a challenging time emotionally and in other ways so it is helpful for divorcing couples to explore all available options to help them complete the divorce process as smoothly as possible and look towards the future. The family law process is available to help couples resolve differences and reach agreements as part of their divorce process.
